Oluwayemisi Idowu Micah holds the degree of Bachelor of Technology in Agricultural Economics and Extension, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Oyo State and Master of Science in Agricultural Economics, Bayero University Kano. She has over (10) years experience in planning, supervising , monitoring & evaluation, and carrying out qualitative and quantitative research surveys and extension services especially those addressing rural livelihood and agriculture. She has a wealth of experience also in conducting impact evaluations, development of survey questionnaires, data entering, cleaning of data and general database management, data analysis and report writing.  

Starting as a casual staff in 2007 with International  Institute of Tropical Agriculture, Kano, where her basic responsibility was data entering, she later got an appointment as a Research Supervisor in 2008 with the same institution and under the  Sub-Saharan Africa Challenge Programme (SSA-CP) for Integrated Agricultural Research for Development (IAR4D). As a Research Supervisor, she was involved in several community mobilization and extension services, research survey planning and exercises one of which was the baseline

survey for the Sustainable Agricultural Intensification and Integrated Natural Resource Management to Improve Rural Livelihoods in Sudan Savanna of West Africa. In 2009, she became the Database Officer/Analyst for the Sudan Savanna Taskforce of the same project and in the same institution. In conjunction with her research supervisory work, she was in charge of the Taskforce database from the collection point to entering, uploading into access using Quefax, forming of queries for cleaning and analysis, data analysis and report writing when necessary. She was also still involved in the Midline survey planning, supervising and exercise.

Oluwayemisi Idowu Micah has also acquired considerable research experience both at the national and international level through her participation in several trainings and capacity building workshops on different qualitative and quantitative software for data collection /entry, analysis, and management.  She has also been part of different consortium of consultants in several organizations such as Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA), New Nigeria Foundation (NNF), Abts Associate, e.t.c.

She Presently works as the Quality Control and Data Management Assistant for Community Action in Improving Farmers Saved Seed Yam (CAY-SEED). She also takes a major lead in the Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (ME&L) Component and the Gender Component of the project.

She has been able to combine outstanding personal integrity, self motivation and hard work with good quality achievements.
